1941/42 Schwinn built, Goodrich Defense Model.
Technically, the only model Schwinn built, that could’ve been supplied with a U Bar.
Of course anything was possible aftermarket, but the only mention of the Torrington U bar in any of the Schwinn catalogs, was for the Defense model, if supplies of the SB (Swept Back) bar ran out.
I have no idea, if any bikes were ever actually shipped this way, but I thought it was just an interesting factoid, since these have always been one of my favorite bend of handlebars.
