Wolfmac

Cruisin' on my Bluebird
I know nothing about these. It’s tucked away in a warehouse and I thought someone here could tell me if it’s worth bringing to market.

I like this bike but it probably would not bring in much money as is. Here is what I'm thinking:
Pros: Overall in decent shape, should clean up alright. Nice extras, generator + light, rack, perhaps og saddle.
Cons: It is a ladies bike so no matter how cool, not highly desirable.
It looks like it may have been of European origin with that light set up and the wheel lock on the rear.
I wouldn't try to sell it, you won't get much out of it. You get a lot more out of it by bringing it back to life with a good rehab and riding it. The bike will thank you for your effort. I have a few similar ladies and they are a pleasure to ride and I am proud that I saved them whenever I take them out.
Have you checked the rear hub for a date?

I’ve always been a little fascinated with the braking system on these bikes. Somewhat overly engineered but elegant.

it's a "Phillips Phillips", i.e. pre-BCC which makes it of greater historic/collector interest than the later BCC/Tube Investments creatures

Tires look to read 28” (40-635?); Westwood rims with 40 spokes rear and 32 front; and S.A. 3-speed with left-side wire.

Definitely 28” wheels. I didn’t count spokes nor look for a hub date. It’s quite tall for a ladies bike.

most fortunate the the key for the wheel lock be present

you will want to find a plausible frame pump for the cycle

the Resilion components badge, which included derailleurs, hubs & brakes had a Phillips connection -

I'd love to see images of the hub. I also wanted to add that there may be some value in the parts but it would be sad to see it torn apart as it appears quite old and unique. I haven't seen that color pattern.

I have no intention in parting this. I agree it’s unique and all together and it would be a shame to see it torn apart. I’m interested in finding a buyer who can appreciate and enjoy it.
