Any info on correct paint color and source. mine is now sandblasted and in primer. Thx
Personally I've never seen a restored Chief. Short of having someone tear one apart to find paint for a decent color match I'd just eyeball it and get close. It looks like the straw/wheat/cream used for a lot of balloon tire bikes would be close enough and the red shouldn't be too hard-something like the prewar Schwinn dark red (not maroon). Did your bike start as a Chief?

Yes. A real Chief. Main chain sprocket and crank legs, fork, head badge, lucky 7 seat post, and frame.
