funny that the 62 twin straight bar is one of my fave frames I have a few but the background Trolleys were my favorite cars to Operate and Instruct safe operation of Best running cars in the Historic SF Muni Fleet

And right hand drive. Were firebirds available in OZ?
No, it would be a private import. In the past most right hand conversions were terrible. The steering box was kept on the left side and a chain drive was mounted under the dash to drive the column on the right. The brake master and booster were also kept on the left and a bar was attached to the pedals. I have driven a couple of cars converted like that and they were woeful to drive. I have a 65 mustang fastback I gladly kept left hand drive!

The rules here dictated any left hand drive car less than 30 years old when it entered the country had to be converted. I think the rule still applies.

That doesn't sound impressive and I'm not sure I would want it.
But why I asked firebird, easier to convert a bird to a T/A then either to right drive.
