Threw some parts at my '39 Colson Klunk-Rat and headed out for a shakedown cruise. Overall it performed well, but it can and will perform better with a few tweaks. And maybe a few different parts. The 3/4" solid steel tool handle I used for a seat post is too short, but it's all I had here.
Out for a nice evening ride on my '37 Western Flyer Klunk-Rat. Mostly good except for a slightly mobile seat, seems using 2 sets of shims to go from 7/8" to 5/8" is nearly impossible to get tight enough. May have to try a 13/16" post with one shim, or a 7/8" BMX post with no shims.
