Prewar? Shelby Traveler

Rob, believe it's post war, this is a 46-48, never really took the time to pin it down more then that. Seat, grips and paint are not original.

1946-48. Without any serial number chart. I have my own 40 something Shelbys here from 1935-1951 as my own research. Male and female bikes. Easy postwar clue is reverse fender darts. In 1949 the darts went back to the prewar standard style again.

I’d like to point out that the stem is original. The Wald patent for it dates back to 1946. You can see it in the Shelby ads in 47 and maybe a little before that too. I know the later ones have a date stamped in the stem. Not sure the earlier ones do tho ...
