Look Ma, No Hands!
I recently found my childhood bike,it was lightly spray painted black 30 plus years ago.Whats the simplest way to remove the spraypaint? Thanks

Acetone may be another option. I used it on an old house painted 68 Orange Krate and it turned out pretty good! I didn't get it all before I sold it but it was thick n dark blue before!

NO!! Do NOT use acetone!! It will dissolve the original paint off the bike as well as the paint you are trying to remove. Schwinn paint is baked on , but acetone pretty much can dissolve anything that is not metal, so if I were you, do NOT use acetone. if it does not remove your original paint, it could soften it permanently.
