Look Ma, No Hands!
Need assistance with this cycle truck. Seller is being very helpful and believes its either a 54’or 56’ we know parts are not original. My concern is mainly the frame. The rear drop out is different than what I’ve seen on cycle trucks. anyone out there clear things up as far as; what year? Is it a schwinn? Other? Thank you

Wore out three sets of tires already!
The drop outs look pre war. The two different chainguards look confusing to me. Neither looks correct. Its a Franken bike. If the price is right and you like it then buy it, otherwise pass because it would cost to much to correct.

Finally riding a big boys bike
Dropouts switched to forward facing in 1947 but the frames all had the extra bar in the front of sign panel until early 50's ??????

That's a prewar wartime rear fork end. A drop out fork end was post war. The I serials were used in 1942. Someone welded a tab on the BB for a post war chain guard.

I like how Pat thru in a prewar Cycletruck image for 1946. Some Schwinn lit states that they did not build any Cycletrucks in 1946 so he filled the vacant spot.

I live for the CABE
Front half of the bike looks Schwinn, but the rear end does not. It looks like someone with really good welding skills had at this bike. Fork also looks home made?
