Personally, I'd rather ride mine. Shows do nothing for me.

I'm a car guy since birth and have been to more car shows with my dad when I was little than I can even imagine. I also build award winning hot rods and customs at the shop where im at so maybe that's why I'd rather ride? I also like the experience of each bike. Differences in geometry and how they ride. More miles, more smiles.

The barbershop bbq that @Barber Rob and his wife put on is exactly like the old school way! A bunch of cool stuff shows up, no entry fee, no trophies, and all the proceeds from the shirt sales, raffle, and bbq went to Saint Jude’s this year! The Altamont cruiser show in Livermore does do car trophies but keeps inviting us to come back now every year. The key is respect here.

Love this shirt. Are their any more for sale? Would take a XXL if ones available. Mark.

@mike1117 I remember the time about 20-25 years ago I was walking through the car corral at the Good Guys show. Someone had a Sears Screamer muscle bike for sale next to their car, I took some photos of it but passed on it because I was only after “Schwinns”. I later posted some pictures of the event on the old Schwinn forum and you chimed in on the post and said you bought the bike for like $300-400. You shared in your post “Hey did you happen to see the Schwinn Krate drum brake front wheel and the Schwinn Krate disc rear wheel that were on it?” I did not. Sure enough there in MY photos were the $1000 wheel set that I overlooked, Doh! Good times.

I take my bikes to car shows and I’ll tell you it’s one of my favorite things to do is ride umm around the show. The Altamont cruiser show in Livermore shuts down like 5 blocks like 800+ cars and riding around talking to people is the cherry on top. I look forward to that show all year. But different strokes for different folks . Car shows arnt for everyone

Most car shows and swap meets don't let people ride bikes around. Liability. Spectator walking, bike rider gets bumped by spectator, there goes a $50k paint job.

I'm in the industry. Have been all my life. I wouldn't want anyone riding a bike around my car at a show. Sorry.

The fact of the matter is parents don't watch their kids either. Turn your head and some kid is trying to ring you bell or.... sit on your bike. Nope.
