@indycycling @60sstuff Did they ever reproduce the older style? I know the newer style is still being produced. The reason I ask is the 2 older style bars I have seem quite different from each other. I wondered if one is repop or if they changed slightly from year to year or manufacturer to manufacturer.
I have some of these low loop slider style repro sissybars, the crimps are a dead giveaway, not nearly as rounded as originals. Best if you posted pics of yours so we can see the difference but I agree, many of my sissybars have different shaped crimps and they are all originals

Sorry for the delay you can see the original early bar with the "patina haha" on the left, the clean one is in question. You can see it has a slightly different shape not quite as wide. Also notice that the seat mounting holes have a space between the 2 parts of the bar almost like they did not get crimped as tightly. You can see the space where the original looks solid. Lastly it appears to be the same gauge steel but when I tap it on the concrete it seems lighter weight. I was wondering if it is a repop? I imagine someone reproduced these at some point I was just surprised to see it was the older style.

You can see the difference in the shape of the crimps, original is much more rounded like a fingernail, the newer one not as much and is a repro, but a good quality repro and I'd have no problem using it on an original bike. There are other repros that have even less of a rounded crimp than this one too and they are pretty evident when you see them on a bike
