The handlebar that came on my new Torker has always seemed a bit small & wanted to try something a bit taller. I received a recent order from Planet BMX that included a Cook Brothers Racing 7.5" tall retro bar and a 7" Black Ops Big Dawg bar. I also decided to keep the original 36T size chainring but got one from Neptune in orange gold to better match other parts. The patriotic valve caps are for a sidelined project I need to get back to finishing & get free shipping. I couldn't resist an impulse buy since it was nearly 50% off. I was almost ready to pull the trigger on a Paul's brake setup but pretty sure they won't be on sale any time soon. The Bottema 26" fork at $139.99 that I don't need was premeditated to build something someday.

The difference in regular gold Neptune anodizing and the orange gold is dramatic.

The Bottema Fork is simply an amazing piece of work......

Got some axle nuts for the Torker with 3/8" to 14mm adapters for a solid front wheel mounting but the threading doesn't match. Blue American bottom bracket for blue build....

And a green dot for my new pistol chambered in .22LR. Having astigmatism because I'm an old fart, the green is much better than a red dot for me.

I gotta pick something else up this afternoon & will try to update this before the end of the day. We'll see. I'm going to test out the new Cook Bros. bar at the track this morning & burn off some excitement before I meet a friend to go to the bike co-op on the way to pick up something big......
