Had a good week. Got a few oil cans and a 1941 Colson Imperial (grill tank) been wanting one of these to complete the 41 Colson trio for a while. Thanks @Freqman1 for the tip.

Frank

I had a good week. I finally picked up something bicycle related ;-) I found on Facebook locally a tall sissy bar for my Screamer. The PO was only a few blocks away!

Here it is installed:

I even picked up a very good vintage bike from Brent Foes. Mines resembles this one but is currently in transit to my home.

Not what I was expecting to find at an antique advertising show in Royal Oak, MI this morning!
I’ve got a friend that will be doing a digital transfer, looking forward to hearing ‘em!

I saw these 2 plates side by side and knew it was a sign from my parents - their birth years, Michigan natives - my dad passed last year on Feb 9th and my mom just passed on the 18th. R.I.P.

Someone left the Honda Mini bike machine copier on overnight and it spawned a clone!! ( almost, it's actually a TOPAZ color 4/70 "April, 1970," and the GOLD/last weeks news is a 2/71 "Feb, 1971".) I posted this on FB. Craziness has no limit.

"Well, I’ve fallen in love again. I may ride one of these on occasion this Summer, but I have the bases covered. A 4 th month of 1970( topaz color) and the 2 nd month of 1971 in gold. Flawless restoration by a new friend. It seems the colors match the Fender( 1965 Jaguar, 2010 Stratocaster) sunburst guitar finishes. Matches made in heaven. You meet the nicest people on a Honda!"

Side by side ( especially in sunlight) outside there is a real color difference. My initial thoughts were to keep the gold one inside and come Spring, fuel up the Topaz one and ride it ( all saftied/street legal) down to the local park now and then for pictures and fun. ( I do have a 1964 Honda 50 Cub in my garage all gassed up/ready and ridden). Now that I have them together ( they are just so perfectly restored) not sure if I can have one sit in the garage 6 months of the year ( Winter) and only see the light of day now and then!

I sacrificed some good items ( guitars/amps/bikes) that were in my collection to achieve this new branch ( I have a few full size motorcycles) of hobby. A changing of the guards I guess. I may even ( my new pal who restores these) spring for the red and blue versions ( all low mileage/all genuine Honda parts) in the Summer after the resto's are done. It depends on the selling of my ( black
