I was in South Bend, IN this past week riding motorcycles with an old friend. Toured the Notre Dame campus and visited the Studebaker museum. I know we shouldn’t be posting things of a political nature but picked up a shirt to support my candidate!
Only if you want all your wildest dreams to come true!
Pedro: Do you think people will vote for me? Napoleon: Heck yes! I'd vote for you. Pedro: Like what are my skills? Napoleon: Well, you have a sweet bike. And you're really good at hooking up with chicks. Plus you're like the only guy at school who has a mustache.
Been a while since I've bought anything but I grabbed this '38 LBA 97 yesterday. First year locking springer. It's red not fuchsia but wish it was! Heavy coat of paint and plated parts sprayed silver but mostly compete and everything is in pretty good shape. G3 Morrow hub so mid '37 with X serial
Jazzed up the Coke machine with a 1952 Coke sign, Mae West license plate topper and vintage pic- nic cooler jug ( clean as a whistle porcelain inside) looks great in the backseat of my 1950 Studebaker Starlight coupe. I got my 1957 Johnson Golden Javelin out of the garage and on the stand with its 1957 Brothers, added( not sure it was on the Evinrude rack last week) the 1957-3hp ducktwin. Got a repro wheelie bar sticker/s too.
It has been an interesting couple of months. It is kind of funny. I wasn't looking for these bikes but somehow while searching for parts for my air compressor I stumbled onto one bike then another a few days later, then another a week later, while looking for parts for the third bike I found the fourth! Luckily a few CABE members were able to help me with a few parts that I was missing.
This followed me home. 1971 (the year I was born) Triumph Bonneville. Universally known as the worst year Bonneville mostly due to it having a one year only really tall stand over height..but at 6’4” that’s a plus for me! It’s super original and was last in the road in 1989 (the year I graduated high school) and sat outside ever since.
Picked up a wood spoke rear wheel with original cushion tire for 1892-93 Common Sense bicycle. Have three complete examples of this bicycle but good to have a spare rear wheel.
