Hello, I am the original owner of this 1971 Orange Krate. I purchased this bike with my 8th grade graduation money. I am now 66y.o. I never rode the bike because the neighborhood on Chicago's far south side ( Roseland ) was racially changing. The Bike has been in my attic for 52 yrs. The pictures do not do the bike justice, The Bike is 100% original just as I bought it. The bike has never been disassembled in anyway, still packed with original grease from Schwinn Chicago! Original paint, tires, pedals, handlebar grips! The serial number is DG055898. Built in April 1971. I will take $2000.00 in cash.. no funny money or checks,serious buyers only. I will be glad to show prospective buyers the bike at the Brookfield police dept. I am retired now and am available any day or weekend to show the bike. None of the chrome has even been shined up, I will leave that to the new owner! Thank You for looking

just a note to all the ass holes who told the owner it was a 98 repro….Hopefully no one on the CABE but generally, your just dumb

I would love to replace my 98’ Krate with this bike. Here’s a comparo for fun guys!
It’s a place holder so wont hurt my feelings. I paid 300 nos in the box locally last year.
