Was digging around looking at pics and it got me thinking (uhoh)

What bikes are there less than 10 known examples?

The REAL rare bikes ..not the perceived rare bikes that there’s quite a few known (bluebird, airflow etc)

Off the top of my head:

Shaft Drive Robin
Red Robin
Deluxe 38 Bluebird
Orange Aerocycle
Elgin Gull
Death bike
Higgens 100

I know I’m missing a bunch..what are the really rare bikes out there?

I believe the 1935/36 Westfield Arch Bar Streamline qualifies (both Deluxe and Standard models). @catfish is the only other CABE member I know who has one. Picture of mine below....

I once went to look at a bike that there were “ only two of in all of Canada”.


I wanted to see it to see if it looked like the one I was riding or the pair another guy in the club owned, or the one in the window of the old dealer in Toronto.

The count of these rare birds only ever includes those owned by “ club members”, never the ones owned by the lone guys who aren’t interested in the social part of the scene.

Cool stuff though and undoubtedly rare as hen’s teeth, keep ‘em coming.

These tankless models are pushing 10 known... including mine, I know of 8. Probably a few more out here. Definitely less than 10 of the tanked model.
