Pacific Northwest Cycling members from Seattle gather at the Snohomish, Washington, train station in 1940, with their bikes in tow.

Most traveled 29 miles by train, from Seattle north-northeast to Snohomish, rode around, and took a train back to Seattle. But a few pedaled the entire 58-mile round-trip distance.
