John D. Williams
Wore out three sets of tires already!
These are flexible with no cracks and good bead. Little wear, although clearly used. Have the SR inside the USA outline, and the three circles for the date-- a CABER told me the one dot upper left of the first circle means 1940. NB on tire means made in New Bedford. Pics show details.
Added info-- the CABER now says this about the tires--
"Hi John, I saw your auction for tires. I'm puzzled now, Nylon is typical of post war, the date code could also be 1950 but with the logo I was thinking 40. not previously knowing the size 1.75" and the nylon I would say 1950 date now.
The weird part is the logo for post war, that would be a new one for me. I've only seen the us map on wartime and prewar tires.
Always something new to keep a person interested."
So I (John the seller) cannot specify a date. Maybe someone can help further.
