The CST copy of the Goodyear tire is another pre and post war tire.

Rotten, old tires suck to ride on. Tires don’t last forever, even sitting unused. If you are going to ride it, there are options on new tires that will get you there and back.

I gave this bike to a neighbor kid, but, like a lost dog, it came back to me, a couple of weeks later, after an adult in his world found him an old 10 speed. But, the Colson has good rubber on it, wasn’t worried about the kid riding it the way I gave it to him.

Consider some new rubber.

I just got this old Hawthorne bike and I'm looking for some period correct tires to put on it. If anyone has recommendations/pairs for sale let me know!

I was looking at that bike on FB Marketplace, but it was just a little too far away for me to travel right now. Good score, great price.

Period correct tires are overrated, IMHO, unless you're dealing with a really high-end rare or special-interest bike.

I wouldn't be opposed to some new tires. Do you know of any dupes/repops of old tires?
