Wanted: Schwinn 27" chrome fenders for Varsity

I actually have a couple pairs of fenders that might work, if you don’t mind cleaning and polishing? I’ll send you a PM in the morning with pics, they’re on parts bikes in the graveyard.

The front fenders are the same, but the rear fenders were frame size specific. The hole location for the brake bridge bracket was drilled differently for a tall frame versus a small frame size. You will find the actual part numbers in a Schwinn Dealer Parts Catalog. Make sure you buy the three braces and the two different brake bridge brackets to mount the fenders. Schwinn sold both the tubular rivets or machine screws to mount the braces and brackets. Another option, The Suburban came in Flamboyant Lime Green and would fit/match your Varsity. Do not confuse Campus Green which is much darker green.

Thanks, John! Great info. I would have guessed that the 27" fenders were a one-size fits all.

I actually did think of the Suburban fenders in Lime Green. The only issue, I think, would be the lack of fender eyelets on the Varsity fork vs the tubular fork on the Suburban. It might be too much Flamboyant Lime Green too!
