What do you think this is worth ?

Good evening, I’ve done all the research I can and think I’ve come as far as I can with just what’s out there…….and now I defer to you wonderful and knowledgeable members of the Cabe.
I have found a person selling this bike and am curious to know what you think it’s worth, so if you are going to spend your hard earned money on this bike what would you be willing to spend.?

The paint is apparently original , the patina is good for a bike of this age , serial number starts MOR so it should be a 1952 , I don’t believe everything is original (I know the headlights period correct but not the light that should have come on the bike) overall though I believe its a good survivor and should stay the way it is and be appreciated.

So please have a look at the pictures and let me know what you’d be willing to pay if it was your money……I look forward to your feedback and replies

+1. $300 would be a fair price for this bike. It's a good, honest 50's bike and I like the springer fork!

I see that bike has a finned rear hub, does that mean the wheelset was likely from a JC Higgins or did Murray/Mercury use them too?
Everyone I've come across had a JC Higgins or Elgin brake arm on it.

While I'm far from an expert on that type of bike, most I see advertised around here are priced far higher, and in far worse shape. Not that they're selling for that though but most I've seen are between $300 and $800 for just about any tank/springer model on FB or CL lately.
Most seem to have been listed for months or years with no takers, but that seems to be the case here for just about anything lately.

Thank you , yeah value to one person will differ to another. And if the seller bought it at a high price they usually want their money back or more so end up holding on to them hoping the prices come back ……. Looked at a colson earlier last summer the seller wanted top dollar and although it had been restored it just wasn’t worth what he paid for it, and he still has it

looks def early 50's Murray made Mercury
500 is a fair price at present. its rough but its all there.
drop center wheels, tank, nice saddle.
the saddle alone is worth 100 bucks..
and the forks alone are worth 100 bucks..
250 would be a steal. 300 would be fair. 400 is good.
it will clean up nice! Im likin the orig tires.
its Murray made.. I have a 49 badged JC Higgins.. I love it.
