Riding a '37 Dayton Super Streamline
I'm a single collector, right now. Not just bikes I collect signs, and have a HUGE 1955 Coke cooler (the type a store would have) and a Canada Dry Cooler (smaller than the coke one but still large) in the house and so much more. When dating I get eye rolling, and asked "are you a hoarder?". Frank on American Pickers once said "If you can see your floor, you're not a hoarder" So no, I'm a collector!
At times I've tried to cut back and even sell off some "less favorite" items to please women, but I enjoy the hunt for cool stuff, I've collected something my whole life and plan to collect stuff for the rest of my life. If I can find a woman that likes my collections, fine, if not fine.
There are women on this site, yet none have said what their husband thinks of their collecting bikes.
I've seen that same eye roll with some of the women I've dated. Usually it starts when they see the cars and motorcycles but when they walk in and see the bikes, clocks, antiques, vintage car and Harley advertisements, license plates, etc... I get the "why do you have so much stuff" question. Like I told my son "no sense crying over spilled milk, there's too much milk out there!" As for being lonely I'm with Marc and Frank I'm only lonely if I want to be. V/r Shawn
