Met up with my friend Allan today and checked out the Route 66 Flywheelers' antique tractor and engine show today. Allan brought his custom-built "Indian" motorbike, and I brought my '61 Murray Meteor Flite "Shoestring." Had a ton of fun cruising the fairgrounds and checking out the old tractors and engines in attendance.

There was also a good amount of classic cars out today as well, both at the tractor show, and at a nearby car show I learned about thanks to Allan.

All in all, it was a great day to catch up with a friend, check out some tractors, cars and engines, and of course, ride my bike.

Two In a day!
To me, a rat is generally a modified or a Frankenstein bike, or maybe one in rough shape. These were FREE I rescued them from the scrap metal grinder. With the exception of the blue and white seat I put on, I suspect these two are all original even the tires. Here's the thing, the tubes have held 40 psi perfectly, both are smooth and quiet riders!. Both went around the house and driveway about 10 times

I've looked at all of the bikes here and it amazes me how an vintage and antique bicycle is still able to be ridden, it makes me wonder if the bikes today and adding 70 years to it, would it still be able to be used?
Except for the box store crap as long as you can find rubber for it you will probably be ok.
