Finally riding a big boys bike
1931 Elgin made by Westfield, J serial number. What you see is what you get. The New Departure hubs are free but dry. the coaster brake works when turning hub by hand. Pedals do not match. 28" tires. 1 tire looks good, 1 tire has a big hole in it. The tires are "United States No 76 Giant Chain Tread Guaranteed 2 ply". Rims look straight sorry no spokes- dont't know what happened to them. If you need additional pictures or information please ask. I will ship by Pirateship. Send zipcode for approximate cost (example I shipped a 1950 Schwinn girls from NY to mid FL for $115)

I have been asked for shipping quotes so I figured its time to see how big an operation to disassemble it will be. I am amazed, I loosened every part I will be taking off (axles, fender, seat, stem, crank, bars, fork) and NOTHING gave me a problem!! Started with the stem bolt, it loosened with no hassles, the only nut that was stiff was the outer nut for the crank. I didn't completely take it off so will run it back on and clean the threads. I have added a couple pics, just as removed, no cleaning off. Apparently who ever put it away was like my father and coated it completely with oil. PS For sh''s and giggles I put 13 lbs of air in the good tire 2 days ago, there was a very slight leak at valve core and just tested, 11 left. How many of todays tire will test that in 95 years?
