I'm gonna say a 46, just post war. Of course front drop outs so post war for sure and a very late/early post war serial. Did you run serial on Schwinn site ? It's for 52 and up serial numbers stamped on rear stay. Earlier records were lost and don't apply on that site.
I did and yes. I do have a book at home, Im not home.
 
Notice H is 41 I is 42 so... I have a post war with H and have heard of many others and also post war and prewar with H-I-J. It's not a science but almost certainly a 46. Also early post war the crank won't have a date stamp.
Next couple days, when I get the bike, I will snap a shot of the kickstand cam. I left the bike in the country and back home in the city now.
