1948/49? Monarch Super Deluxe

Picked this up today. Gentleman said it was a '49 but I believe the serial number is a '48. Would this be an end of year frame turned '49 or were they the same bikes? TIA!

I believe I figured it out by looking at pictures on the Cabe. The '48 has a separated rear reflector and chrome piece at the back fender brace and the '49 is one piece. So mine is a '48.

Definetly a 1948. I have the same bike but in red, really nice original, but not as nice as this. What a beautiful bicycle.👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
