Churchill Deluxe looks like a excellent project. Should clean-up/detail out very well! Add a nice leather saddle and go,,,, And I like the black Schwinn too!
A silver disc GH6 nominally produces 1.8w at 12mph. In reality, many now will produce less power at 12mph because the magnets (20-pole Alnico ring type) have aged. The system does add a little friction to the hub, though not as much as one would think if the hub has been properly serviced. Even when properly serviced and working, the hub will not produce sufficient lighting by today's standards. Reflectalite makes an LED conversion kit where you can fit LED bulbs to your dynohub lamps to improve what little light the GH6 hub makes. I think it is a good improvement. But even with the Reflectalite improved bulbs, it will still not be good by today's standards if you're riding at night and need to see the road well. The GH6 system may be sufficient to make yourself known to cars driving on the road, but it's not going to fully illuminate a country road at night.
