Yes, usually a December Sting-Ray was the next model year.

Very Nice December '68 DeLuxe Sting-ray, last year for Schwinn Coppertone bicycles, color was not offered in 1969.

Very nice original Coppertone Deluxe, cleaning up really nice too. Are your tires date coded to the bike?

Being MD, December 68, it's a 69 model and the seats started changing from silver glitter to match the color of the bike. Is your seat a hard side, ie: no padding on the sides? And does it have the step up pan? It's a raised section by the seat clamp, can't quite tell from the pics

Did all step ups have padded sides? Did only the deluxe have the silver inlays?
