If I were you I would do a search in this forum for 1964 Stingrays posted by 60stuff and he will have beautiful examples of changes. He documents the bikes by the month practically. There were changes by Schwinn mid year on the bikes and one may have been a change from 36 to 28 spoke rear. I'm pretty sure early '64 had 36 and soon after went to 28. A little research and you will know for sure. Their are a bunch of members who have the information and own original '64s, take some time and search for the different examples. Good luck and please post some pictures of your bike parts or whole. Remember without pictures it never happened. Are you sure you are not an AI bot?

Hi! I am doing my research…Thank you for the info. No, I am not a bot! Just an old dude trying to build a SR.🤣 I was going to build a Frankenstein, a custom job, (to save money)but decided to do an OG. I build cars as a hobby and will be doing this one at home. Here’s my brother and I in 1969 on my 63 or 64 SR! That’s me on my Flamboyant Lime bike! Thanks again for the help!!

As soon as I get my frame I’ll post on here. I was going to buy a complete bike, but I would have redone it, anyway!!!! Here’s a couple of cars I built in my 45 years of being an avid Lowrider! I have built many others, now it’s time to build my OG SR!

I found a 73 SR Super Deluxe for a reasonable price. I was thinking about buying that one as well. It’s real nice! What do you think?
