1996 Gary Fisher Hoo Koo e Koo. named after a trail in Marin County. bought new in 1996 for $750.00

this is Sabercat Canyon in Fremont. looks like out in the boonies but there are 2 to 5 million dollar homes on either side of this trail. that's mission peak in the background.

I was 36 when I bought this and lost 40 pounds that summer.

I used to live with a girl whose parents owned a home on Mill Creek Road right below the summit of Mission Peak, I can vouch for the homes in that area. Beautiful scenery there.

Cool bike too, I used to really want one of the GF hardtails back in the day.

@soddruntlestuntle That Sierra looks great! Looks much better with the skinwalls. I had one of those some years back and sold it to a friend. The U-brakes are a bit fussy to set up but are very powerful. Just keep an eye on it, because as the pads wear, they strike higher and higher on the rim eventually reaching the tire.

A Schwinn mattress saddle would work on that bike. If you want to go medium width, the Avocet Touring I and II saddles are both retro and comfortable. From experience, the ones that have "USA" on the side seem to be more comfortable than the other incarnations.

@Heatwave Nice GT! It looks like mid to later 90's with those decals and the V-brakes I think '95 was the last year for the prominent "GT All Terra" decal on the downtube. Those bikes will go forever.
