i bought a few things there, most parents bought bikes from bellittes bike shop in Jamacia ny they are still in business at the same location since the late 1940s

As I recall, they did not have Schwinn, and that was my father's sweet spot. Long time ago. So many stores have closed, glad they are still around.

This1940 Dayton has a Billittes shop decal on it.

It had the laughing Indian associated with the motorcycle brand on it, so I was puzzled when I saw the word Jamaica.
At first I thought it came from the island nation of Jamaica.
So I looked it up and was surprised to find out the Billette’s was still in business in Queens, New York.
Apparently, they had also been an Indian motorcycle dealer at one time?
