Seems a bit ironic that you consider a “bad” transaction one that YOU disregarded the sellers terms and tried to purchase anyways. Trying to force your purchasing wishes on someone that’s clearly stated otherwise is actually bad on you! I mean if someone lists an item that only accepts Postal Money orders, I don’t contact them and inquire about other forms of payment. I heed to their wishes. I just go to the next ad, and keep perusing. That’s not a bad transaction. It’s just the way it is!
eBay in the 90’s early 2000’s was kinda fun, lots of great items and deals. Before everyone knew what they had, and the greed took over and they started double dipping us with eBay and PayPal fees. The buyer has all the power nowadays. I lose my item, and the money? No thanks eBay! I’m 100% out!
I joined The Cabe in 2016. I’ve bought alot of items friends and family. Never been blatantly screwed over. Maybe a few slow or inexperienced shippers over the years. Any issues have always been resolved. Inversely I’ve sold many many items friends and family, and never received a complaint. The Cabe is FREE. I think it’s a great place. Full of knowledgeable cool people. Sure there’s some negative nellys, grumps, and Mr Know-it-alls. I take it with a grain of salt and get a chuckle out of most of it. It’s a lot better than that scammed out Facebook crap!! All of this can be alleviated of course by MORE SWAP MEETS! Being able to see and touch in person, and of course cash is king!
