Reading about @Just Jeff 's Roadmaster Cycle Truck project and its serial number made me want to look at my 3 CT frames.

Mine and Jeff's and the others that I have found on the cabe all start with a D. The presence of black out parts on my almost complete bike seems to confirm, based on the chart here that they are 1945s.

Does anyone have a Roadmaster Cycle Truck with a serial number that does not start with a D?

Does anyone have any literature?

According to Phil's list, this one dates to early 1951, just before AMF bought the company. I've seen earlier versions of the headlight bracket that were forged in one piece with the fork, this version looks like it would be simpler and cheaper to make. A couple pictures of the earlier part are posted in this thread:
