It is still my company... I just had the trade mark bagged from me, 1st reason was because the "my" trademark attorneys neglected to inform me that the trademark was close to expiring, then congress pass a law that said the USPTO were no longer obligated to inform trademark holders that their trademark term was soon to expire. I admit I got caught with "my pants down"! I spent about $2k fighting it and won the first round. I was then handed off to another attorney down on Century City Boulevard in LA and was told that I had a "VERY GOOD case"... and to get going, I just had to wire $15K into their account!
Honestly, I have no desire to get back into to bicycle business ( even though I have all the CBR original fixtures, drawings, & machines) ! I just didn't want Cook Bros. Racing (my legacy in American bicycle history) to be "trashed" by counterfeiters and scammers pawning off Chinese junk.
Silly me, but I thought that the American bicycle culture would be like Europe or in the UK and... Just let an old company die ( like Jack Taylor, Hetchins, and hands full of others)! Though I have to laugh at the irony of it all, getting the trademark bagged has only made original CBR stuff more valuable!
So now it's your turn Fregman... How do "they" say at the bar in the old western movies? "Belly up" or... SHUT UP!😄
