Grey Ghost
Wore out three sets of tires already!
Except that Performance never had anything in stock, not in Denver anyway. My experience early on, was that most local bike shops didn’t generally sell tools.
They wanted the customer dependent on the service department.
It wasn’t until the Performance Bike Shops came around, that you could buy just about any tool in the Park Tool catalog, right off the shelf.
I loved it, because I always wanted to do my own maintenance anyway.
1st tool I bought, was a Park Tool, Work Stand.
I used to go there looking for 5-6 items they had in the catalog, and on display, only to be told that they didn’t have any of them at the store.
I even had a manager take me downstairs to their fulfillment area to show me how empty their stock was after I had complained numerous times.
Worst inventory system ever. I’m surprised they stayed in business. I gave up on them.
