Fresh Find: 1980 Cook Brothers Three Bar Cruiser

Thanks again for the astute eye, @birdzgarage! Seems like fewer options on the market these days for whatever reason or timing - most of the recommended vendors were sold out or discontinued. I landed on this solid aluminum jobber from Atom Bikes in Wisconsin, feels stout!

I’ve been battling the headset on this since I got it. I suspect that maybe the headset was out of adjustment and ridden for years? The lower bearing cup has a lot of play and would bind when you rode it.

So, I went ahead and installed a simple ball bearing headset. Way better! I can ride hands free and without fatiguing drag now!

Such a gem and so simply and perfectly appointed… Can’t get enough of that one.
