What's interesting about Curly's bike is once started the hopping motion keeps it going. No pedals/gears.

...why no, I haven't ridden a Schwinn lately

I want to make a real tall bike. I made a fairly tall one years ago and it was fun to ride.

My newest version, most people don't really notice the wheels unless your riding it!, guess I need to put a video in my for sale thread.

Well it's up to the top now, comes up when someone post on it otherwise when it matches some words in a search but only a post bumps it.

Guy I set up next to at a Chicagoland swap in April had one of these. I rode one, it was wild and I couldn’t help myself smiling like a goofball.

Maybe @Schwinn Sales West can weigh in on this, when I was kid in socal all the Schwinn shops were required ( I was told that by one long time dealer ) to have a couple of clown bikes to rent to local schools/churches for events, our schools always had them at the carnival, for a couple of tickets you could ride a few laps around the blacktop, years later I bought one out of the backroom of Paramount Schwinn ( Mulroneys? ), 24 inch canti with the fender bridges removed and a 20 in front wheel, sold & bought it back couple of times, use to see it ridden around the swap till the last owner x threw it out so maybe it's around somewhere.

Mark, about the only thing Schwinn required from their dealers was to pay their statements "on time", LOL. Never heard about the clown bike requirement.

From a mechanical viewpoint, it's not easy to spoke a wheel with the hub "not centered" in the rim. You have to have several different spoke lengths. Very interesting bike and I'm sure it brought many smiles.

Yes, The Paramount Bike Shop was owned by Jerry Mulroney. Jerry ended up with 6-7 Schwinn stores in the South Land.
