Is this a schwinn? Haven't seen the dog ears on the frame before. They said it been in a barn for years. And what year is it . Thanks

The serial indicates a '40 C-Model to me.

From this reference it’s a 40 frame. Unusual though. I’ve only seen the drop stand frame tabs on 39’s. Nice paint match.

How long was the Z model produced? Did it just become the Spitfire? Interesting memo. It reads as though this Z model is not even a Schwinn.
