I was looking at these 1979 dated Schwinn Middleweight Bicycles ... Owners Operating & Maintenance Manual ... Five -Speed and Coaster Brake Models ...
1- covers the Spitfire, Spitfire 5, Typhoon, Hollywood, Heavy-Duti ... 1979
1- covers the DeLuxe Cruiser, Cruiser, Typhoon, Hollywood, Heavy-Duti ... 1979 / '80?
Being the Spitfire was introduced in 1977, I was wondering if there was an earlier Owners Manual for 1977 or 1978? ... I have never seen one, anyone?

Yours looks to be a Schwinn Frame assembled by Murray ... serial number DUxxxxxx ... April 1983 / stamped badge 2343 ... August 22, 1983
A Murray Frame does not have electro-welds at the crank stays.

YES, that is one of the bikes built by Murray for Schwinn back in 83. It would have had stickers on the top tube, and seat tube.

Here is a pic of my 83 I recently sold on Ebay. Mine was one of the early versions that came with the S-2 rims, and it had a Chicago built frame.
