My 1964 Stingray has a 36 hole rear rim.
Only early 64's had 36 spoke so never overlapped with the 2spd, there was a shortage 28 Sturmey-Archer 3 spd in 68? so they used 36 spoke for a little bit, no totally sure of the yr but there is a thread here with a Schwinn reporter article but I'm gittin off the og subject here!

The Blue Band Overdrive unit was first offered as an extra cost option on the 1965 Stingrays and came with a front caliper brake on the standard fork.
The ‘65 and ‘66 Super Deluxe with the springer fork did not get the front caliper brake when ordered with the Blue Band option.
The 1965 and ‘66 Overdrive brake arm was not dated on the back.
Sometime in 1967 the Overdrive brake arm started to have dates stamped on the back.
Late ‘67 and 1968 the Overdrive brake arm now had MODEL B stamped on the front with the date on the back.

Below is my M4 (Dec. 1964) Super Deluxe that came with the Blue Band Overdrive.
The above hub E7 that is for sale and a 1968 Overdrive with an L7. Both these brake arms have the MODEL B on the front.
