Auction description:

Seller said her Father purchased the bike in the late 1950’s. Seller stated that as far as she knows nothing was modified on the bike when her father had ownership of it and no modifications were made when it was passed on to her and in her possession. Modern bolt was indentified around the seat area. Picture was taken of that bolt. Bike was inspected for markings and no markings could be found.

Estimate was conducted in 1998 by American Cyclery in San Francisco, California. Estimated value at that time was between 9,500 to 10,500 dollars.

Dimensions and what material the bike is made of:

Big wheel is 36” across. Spokes and inside perimeter of tire is made out of wood. Outside perimeter is metal and appears to be cast iron.

Smaller wheel is 14” across. Spokes and inside perimeter of tire is made out of wood. Outside perimeter is metal and appears to be cast iron.

Over length is 48”.

44” in height to top of handle bars

39” to top of seat

seat and handle bars are wood

Bike has a cast iron stand

Frame of bike is cast iron

Color: Red, Black and some yellow stripes
