I see CYOB entry fee doubled from last year. This one is starting to look doubtful for me. I can be home two days earlier!

I'm assuming your referring to the Classic Bicycle of the Year Award ... CBOY ... $20. to WIN $250.
Ah? ... Bicycle Swap Meet/Show or Home? ... That's a No Brainer! 😕

Pretty easy when you live in Detroit. That's an extra two nights at the hotel, an extra day of vacation I have to use, and a two thousand mile round trip. A bicycle show you can't ride a bike at plus I wonder how much the minibike, go-cart, etc.. will dilute the bike swap. The bike show, in general, has been down for the past several years. Some categories only had one entry and I believe at least one category had none. Doubling the fee for CBOY may dissuade some from entering and the people who have fielded multiple entries may not be so inclined. These are just my thoughts/observations. I'll weigh my priorities and then make a decision. Right now cleaning up $50-75k of storm damage is my priority.

Sorry to hear about your storm damage, Hurricane Helene will not soon be forgotten, some devastating damage that will take some time to recover from, my prayers go out to you, family & friends.
The minibike stuff will be in one of the buildings and their swap space is just outside in the front area, it won't be intermingled with the bicycles Swap area, Auction will be held by the minibike building.
You are correct on the bike show entries, it has been low participation, wish I knew the key to getting bicycle owners to show their bicycles?
