Look Ma, No Hands!
This is another original owner bike. I received it filthy dirty and completely tore the bike down for refurb and detail.
Nearly all the CORRECT hardware is replated in cadmium to look factory fresh.
The hubs in both wheels were completely cleaned & re-greased. Wheels were put on the truing stand and adjusted. Even the freewheel was cleaned of all the gunk. Tires are the better offering from some years back of actual Schwinn Classic Fastback tires.
Headset and bottom bracket bearings were cleaned and have fresh grease as well.
Original Campus Green paint was polished out. No touch ups at all. Very strong screen and decals are present.
All the chrome is in nice condition and shiny. Not perfect but very acceptable.
Brake calipers were completely taken apart and cleaned up. Same for the brake levers. Perfect working order. The cable housings are correct gray with stainless steel inner wires.
The seat is a later 70's replacement with some small tears pictured. OG owner replaced it when he ripped up the factory seat.
Study the pics for condition. Again the bike was completely gone through. Super clean honest original Campus Green Fastback 5-Speed. Ready to ride or add to a collection. It's on display at Blue Moon Bikes in Sycamore, IL. If you call leave a message for Steve regarding the bike.
