Honestly, this appears to be two brothers. The older brother on the bicycle is the soldier. The younger brother facing
the camera is a Boy Scout. WW1 era, because of the trousers, leggings and campaign hats on both and, of course, the bicycle.

Hi All,

I couldn't find the original unwatermarked copy, but it is worth putting this one up anyway.

1944. The actress Jeff Donnell with Cpl. George W Mullins take a bicycle ride at Fort Worth Army Airfield. She was in many fims, but this seems to be a press shot for the film Nine Girls.

Looking at the photo above in detail, you can see that the bike still has it’s light intact, and the clamp for the pump has slipped down the saddle stem and is lodged just above the bb.

Any ideas what the numbers/ writing on the rear fender could represent?

Army Tech Sgt. Cedric Tucker, Palmer, Mass., chats with WAC Sgt. Shirley Staie at Army University Center, Shrivenham, England, 84 miles west of London, July 28, 1945.

Sgt. Staie was the first WAC member to register at the military school. (Army Signal Corps photo via Hennepin County [Minnesota] Library.)
