Beautiful condition on them. Green one appears to still be wearing its original red wall tires.
I had two in Green and sold one to a friend. Looking forward to seeing how much I can bring the brown one back, but for $25 I'm still way ahead in just parts.

Started the cleaning process. One of the filthiest bikes I've ever purchased, buy hey, I'm up to the challenge.

Rear hub shows January of 1970, and I assume this is about when they went from painted fenders to chrome.

Considering what it was, it cleaned up OK, for just a rider and nothing more. Time to pass it on!

Looks good. Brought back to life. I have a feeling that was a massive detail job! Next?

I actually sold it to a young guy wanting to learn how to work on bikes. For $60 he was very happy, and he got a nice clean bike, at least. (I kept the pump and saddle bag, so I still made out in the plus column in my opinion).

I want another WITH a kickstand and in better condition. These little things are blast to ride, and I still have my green one.

Are these considered lightweights, middleweights or do they need a category to themselves?

They are considered folders. That is a category by itself. Tires are middleweight sized 1.75 on most but I have seen them with 2.125 also. Some the ones sold in England also use 1 3/8 tires. All are FOLDERs. Roger
