Wore out three sets of tires already!
As promised, here's more bikes. And here's the write-up from Part 1......
I have about 500 bikes which is about 400 too many. I need to let some go. These are priced to sell and I can give you some more detailed pics if you're truly interested in a particular bike. The prices are WITHOUT shipping added and I'm open to reasonable offers. I'd much rather have people pick these up but I'm willing to ship them myself or drop them off at the local bike shop. I'm low on boxes so the latter may be the only option after I sell a couple of these. Thanks for looking!
Quick note....I can even take your credit card info through my photography business if it's easier for you to pay that way. Just another option.
First up, 1960's AMF Skyrider in AHHH-mazing original condition. This is a true beauty with original rubber even. $350 OBO
* SOLD * Elgin Twin Bar.....I don't remember the year. This one was (fairly) nicely repainted and striped many years ago so it actually looks pretty fantastic as-is with the patina. One image shows the Seiss horn/light which is currently on it and one image doesn't. Price with the Seiss - $950. Price without the Seiss - $800. That piece is so darn cool I don't mind keeping it so I'm good either way you go.
Mercury Fleet Line with original paint. This was the predecessor/step-brother to the X-53 and has some parts I feel are superior to the X-53. This is a very nice example that rides like a dream. Has what I consider one of the coolest racks ever put on a bicycle. The seat has been recovered but is a decent, well-done job. Asking $1000 OBO.
Here's a change of pace and something just cool as heck - early 2000s Manhattan-badged Fabulous Hornet. This thing will be the coolest ride in your collection. This one I would assume was produced in homage to the Hudson Fabulous Hornet of Cars fame. I have been the proud owner and rider of this one since I fell in love with it in the bike shop window across from my studio. It turns heads in a huge way. In fantastic (almost perfect) shape and rides like a caddy, not a Hudson. $800 OBO
Well, here it is.....the Old Hooker. This one is fun to ride but you don't want your friends to see you (anyone else know that old line??). Built on the bones of a 1960's Huffy, this one is a true one-of-a-kind. How about $150 for this one and I'll throw in a couple of old but unused condoms for your protection. And maybe a partially used bottle of expired penicillin.
Schwinn adult muscle bike - I built this one on the frame of Heavi-Duty and gave it all the frills you wanted on it as a kid. A blast to ride and turns heads, especially the Kenda Flame tires. Asking only $275 (OBO) for $1000 worth of fun!
I'll take more pics and list some more batches of bikes I've built and rehabbed over the years in the next couple of days. I also just bought 38 bikes at auction including a Ranger, a girls X-53, and others that are untouched. I'll be listing some of those 38 together in one post as complete but project bikes. Lots of good stuff in there. Thanks for looking and....buy my stuff! I'm almost out of room!
