Here’s another cool trick with the torch! Zinc coated Brand new hardware sticks out like a sore thumb! Heat it up red hot and then cool it off with oil.

The blistered paint can also be used to your advantage. Blister the paint with the torch. Let it cool. Sand the blisters off then triple p. It’ll give the decades of rust and paint loss effects that’ll look similar to this fender

Best part is….it’s all real and won’t chip or flake off and you don’t have to wait 50+ years for it to happen! Beating it in the rocks a bit is an important step too cause you’ll get the little flea bite chips that won’t happen otherwise. With out em it looks fake

It's those little details that make a world of difference.
 
I show motorbikes in Antique Auto Club shows, their standard is restore to the level the vehicle came out of the factory.
Original paint that is in very good condition is a premium.
Makes it difficult to find show-able bikes.
