Received these awesome Tillers and a donor fork match for the Miami Hudson. Long ago someone had mutilated the original fork to fit a balloon tire I’ll hold on to it but once I get the treads extended and tube cut down, they’ll be swapped. Couldn’t have asked for a better patina match with the same grey paint on both pieces.
Huge thank you to @mopargeek!
Installed carpeting in the front of the basement that is finally finished.
I did pick up a cool 7' tall clock. It was fun to put up. The mech popped out and bounced off the top of my head. Good news I feel great. Bad news the mech has a dent My wife was a great help she laughed and laughed...
Got this killer new mail badge I've been looking for from @sm2501 and a great set of parallels. Also worked on fixing up my garage doors. Surprised they lasted as long as they did. I built them almost 20 years ago.
The alloy butts of these knives were made, by me, in the 1980s from discarded squares taper cranks. I got the crank arms dumpster diving in the 1980s. Old files or broken off blades made into crude but useful knives. I don’t remember how I attached the butt and handle to the tang. I used crank chainring nuts or the square taper axle bolts. I must have filed the tangs round and put them through a thread die?
