Good news/bad news, you can decide for yourself, but sold my '21 Commencal Absolut to a youngster around 15 from Summit County. They just got a new pump track! I loved that bike but won't ever use it to it's potential & wanted someone that can take full advantage of it to have it & think I succeeded! Good luck to both as I see good things coming from that relationship.

I had a blast with it & have PRPPL NRPPL

& Redline Flight Monocog that are perfectly capable to help me reach my goals. Plus, the Commencal had skinwall tires.....

(but seriously, it's a good looking bike) Now nobody has to see me post it when I teke it to the track any more. Your welcome! You'll just see more of the same pic of PRPPL NRPPL

Have accumulated some fun 2A goodies to help make other 2A goodies better, safer & more fun but don't need to share here. I did get to meet my friend for his Birthday and start to break in a few new guns. I love it when tons of research exceeds my expectations!!

It has been a while since we got to hang out & was great to see him, his Mom & other family.

And shoot stuff!!
I also got to use something I've forgotten to share for a while. While helping a friend clear out an estate, she gave me a really cool table leftover from the family we've been helping that will be very useful for swaps, to lay 2A items upon while having fun & probably enjoy a meal. It's from a Gambles store, 1966.
Pretty sweet, right!?!? Crazy thing is it happens to match the cooler I picked up & been using for many years!
While roaming northern Colorado in search of 2A goodies(& very successful) I was on.my way to the bike co-op as I've had a feeling some treasures were waiting for me to rescue. Just need some small stuff to finish a project & found the perfect thing. I was hoping to be lucky enough to find a 26" BMX fork or old double crown MTB fork w/brake mounts for upcoming or unplanned projects. Just a couple small parts.
HOWEVER, on my way back out to my car my Guardian Angels strike again!! Someone, while I was inside shopping, dropped off a bike donation......
A GT Tequesta as found in donation rack from around the same time as my beloved PRPPL NRPPL

that I also found here !!

In the same size. But this has double butted chromoly tubes!!
Had to go back inside to inquire & they said they had to check it with Police to see if it was reported stolen. If not they could sell it. Left my name & number to call whenever they get around to doing that. While doing all this thinking it would be a while before I hear back, the fiy taking my info says, "We have another one of these in the sale rack you know."

After picking up my jaw I said, "uuhhhh, no." No way!! Well I'll be a Monkey's Father!! A newer model w/low end suspension fork from around the time 1 1/8" threadless fork/stems became the standard. IN THE SAME SIZE!!! Come on Man!!!!
A few more paint chips so waited to hear back. Was just enjoying the space selling one bike provides so really trying not to buy any more much less 2.

Got the call Friday afternoon that the bike checked out & $110 while the newer one was $140. Only want the frame, wheels & headset from either to build up but a fleet of GT rippers & a Redline sure would be fun! I'll be there on Sunday!
I had a bit of work this morning in Boulder & decided to hit the co-op there in case I find something cool. Found some Tioga Spyder pedals. Cool!
Then back north for this earlier GT Tequesta in a Violet Jackson Pollack motif. My camera isn't good at violet apparently. Looks more blue in the pics. Fork & stem look pretty close but frame is Violet. I'm sure you'll see plenty of it once I find parts to build up similar to PRPPL NRPPL

Don't worry. It could be a while before it gets built up as I'm gonna bling this out a bit to take full advantage of the higher grade double butted tubes. Lots of research & saving to do....
So excited, blessed & grateful!! Crazy how these things happen.
