Looked around at a number of garage sales yesterday, and I managed to score some goodies!
First, I rode my 1930s CWC klunker to 3 garage sales, with 2 being in my neighborhood and the third one being in the next neighborhood over. I didn't find anything at the 2nd and 3rd garage sales, but the very first one had the exact thing I was looking for!
2 of these 90-degree monkey wrenches, plus a few other tools I could use, all for $8!
I then got the car out and drove to a few other garage sales. I found this
200 disc CD player, loaded with CDs, for $7! I know it turns on at least, but I have yet to full test it out.
At another garage sale, I found an oil can and Royal Crown Cola cooler for Dad, and a couple needle-nose pliers for me, all for $24.
Right wheen one garage sale was wrapping up, I bought some pool balls and felt sheets for $1.50, thinking I could use them in a bike build somehow.
At the same garage sale I got the CD player from, I got a bunch of Lego Bionicle parts all for $9! Got to relive a bit of my childhood getting these.
I even got a few minifigures in the deal, including this unique basketball player with spring-loaded legs!
At one of the last garage sales I went to, I got these books and Blu-ray player for free! Not sure if I'll use any of them, but it was nice talking about art and photography with the woman running the sale.
Didn't find any bike stuff this week, but I found tools and some materials I can use on bikes!
