Can measure tube OD and compare to ishi mtb tube specs.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am interested in all the info I can get on this frame. Hopefully someday I will find, or someone will have some printed documentation from Schwinn that gives us more info about the frame and its history..............

My newest NOS Schwinn frame acquisition. A July 1982 Varsity frame. It is not as unique as the MTB frame, but it is NOS! It has a few nics and scratches, but great condition overall for being 40 years old.

That was the question. Thank you sir.

NOS stuff like this is fairly hard to find in this condition, and I am happy when I find it. It's an extra bonus if it is still in the box.

The sad thing about the original box for the MTB frame, the seller painted over the labels on the box when they shipped it to me. I was pretty disappointed about that!

Hmmm....Ned Overland/Richey worked with Schwinn on the Paramountain but the Schwinn exces built the Sidewider , Sierra .... Schwinn really did not want to build a mountain bike.

Eric Buell (the motorcycle engineer at Harley, and a motorcycle designer) was also involved. He was working with Marc Mueller at Waterford Design.

There was a lot of time put into a SASS full suspension frame.

I think by the time came that they finally "wanted to be fully involved", there was bigger issues pending.
